Welcome and thank you for your interest in employment at Amery Memory Care. Your desire to learn more about being an employee with us shows you care and are interested in helping those with memory loss live well in their journeys.

Our policy is each employee shall have the skills, education, experience and ability to fulfill the employee's job requirements. Employees who have direct resident care roles must be 18 years of age to be employed in the care giving role. Applicants who have their required DHS 83 training recorded on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry and have past experience working with the population we serve are preferred for hire. If you’re not already trained, don’t let that preference shy you away from joining our team. Your desire to care for this population is a step in the right direction to a rewarding career with us.

We recognize and support those who are interested in bettering themselves and look for growth opportunities. Therefore, we do provide training for those who are interested in serving this population but have not obtained the required DHS 83 trainings. Your DHS 83 training fees are paid in full by us on your behalf.

We offer an array of educational opportunities throughout employment. Including required DHS 83 trainings completed within first 90 days of employment, department specific trainings, and extensive Dementia friendly educations to expand the knowledge base of each employee. The education prepares employees for day-to-day situations, helping them provide the best possible care for residents going through memory loss journeys. Trainings are executed in a multitude of fashions to enhance adult learning via lectures, guest speakers, hands-on, handouts, group exercises, etc.
